WHERE: Chesterfield-Union Township Fire Department, Station 50 - 207 East Main Street
WHO: Any new hire / recruit, probationary firefighters or veteran firefighters wishing certification from a challenging, hands-on class.
LEAD INSTRUCTOR: Captain Todd Rielage of CUTFD
COST: You must purchase your own FF I and II book. Approx. $55 plus shipping. No class fee.
PREREQUISITE: NIMS 100 and 700
ATTENDANCE: Due to the high demand of this class, students must be able to attend class regularly. Students may only miss up to five class sessions. Any additional missed sessions may result in dismissal from the program at the discretion of the lead instructor.
CLASS INFORMATION:
This class teaches new and safe approaches within the ever-evolving fire service.
New recruits and veteran firefighters alike will benefit from an extensive hand-on training experience.
Each student will receive hard-to-get, challenging, hands-on experiences such as:
Rapid Intervention Team Training
Mayday Drills
Personal Firefighter Survival Training
Search and Rescue evolutions at multiple venues
Vent, Enter, Search Training
Live Fire Scenarios
Flashover Chamber
Large Diameter Hoseline advancement
Vehicle Extrication techniques and scenarios
and much more!
This class will be run in a fire academy type setting.
Students will work in squads to complete evolutions and will be evaluated on classwork, practical skills and attitude.
Those that want to just get a certification and not work, THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR YOU.
Each instructor dedicates himself/herself to providing the best overall instruction for the difficult job the fire service provides everyday. We take pride in making sure we teach the latest tactics and techniques so that you can do your job safely.
